Chris is one of those fortunate people who is naturally "handy" and mechanically inclined.  Chris was able to repair household appliances at age 14.  His part-time job during high school was an auto mechanic.  Chris achieved his bachelor's degree in Finance from San Diego State University.  Chris moved to Chicago in 1992 and worked at the CME during the day and as a waiter in the evenings.  In 1996, Chris apprenticed with a master carpenter for 6 months.  In 1997, Urban Handyman was among 4 established handyman businesses in the Chicago Consumer Yellow Pages (today there are about 100).  Chris continues to educated himself in different trades, the latest techniques, state of the art products and tools.  In 2000, he attended the IBEW electricans apprentice program.  Chris' future plans include expanding Urban Handyman into the high tech world of the "Smart Home" and greener home solutions.
